Who is Responsible for What?
- Well Made Blinds is responsible for your Installation Warranty.
- The Manufacturer is responsible for all Product Warranties.
Manufacturer’s Product Warranty
1. Defect & Workmanship Warranty
All products come with a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a product is found to be genuinely defective, the manufacturer will assess and repair or replace it as per their terms.
Warranty periods vary by product:
- Blinds & Shutters: 2–5 years
- Awnings & Outdoor Products: 3–7 years
- Flooring (Carpet & Hard Flooring): 5–25 years (varies by product)
- Curtains & Soft Furnishings: 1–3 years
2. Fade & UV Resistance Warranty
Many of our window treatments and flooring products include UV and colourfast warranties. These protect against excessive fading due to sunlight exposure. Warranty terms are specified per product.
3. Stain & Soil Resistance (where applicable)
Some carpets and fabrics come with stain-resistant treatment warranties. These are defined by the manufacturer and detailed on product labels or care instructions.
Well Made Blinds Installation Warranty
Installation Warranty Period
We provide a 2-year warranty on all professional installations carried out by our trained and certified installers in the Sydney metro area. This covers:
- Workmanship faults
- Improper fitting or alignment
- Issues arising from incorrect installation methods
What is Covered Under Warranty?
Warranty applies to authorised, non-defective sales products installed as per manufacturer and industry standards.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper handling
- Improper cleaning or maintenance
- Alterations or repairs made by unauthorised persons
- Natural wear and tear over time
- Colour variations between batches or samples
- Damage from pets, furniture, or environmental factors (e.g., moisture, extreme heat)
- Products installed in commercial or high-traffic environments if sold for residential use
- Issues arising from failure to follow care instructions
Warranty Validity Period
- Warranty begins from the date of installation (or delivery for non-installed items).
- Applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
- In some cases, warranty coverage may depreciate over the product’s life.
Your Responsibilities as the Owner
To keep your warranty valid, you must:
- Retain your proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation)
- Ensure installation is carried out by Well Made Blinds or an authorised installer
- Follow the manufacturer’s care and maintenance guidelines
- Use recommended cleaning products and methods
- Notify us promptly of any issues
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product or installation is not performing as promised:

Australian Consumer Law
In addition to manufacturer warranties, your purchase is protected under the Australian Consumer Law, which entitles you to remedies if products are faulty, unfit for purpose, or not as described. These guarantees cannot be excluded and exist alongside any manufacturer warranty we provide.
